Re: 1969 Camaro "Yenko" Clone
Also got the door latches installed and the doors are now functional. I then sorted through the remaining stuff in the shop and sorted it all through what has to be cleaned / polished, installed..... and found all the pieces for the console> FINALLY!!!! been looking for one piece and it has been driving me mad no knowing where it was. Remember it came to me in boxes.

Re: 1969 Camaro "Yenko" Clone
So many people believe that once the car is painted, you're almost done and ready to drive. This just shows how much work needs to be done to put a car back together. Looking great James.

Re: 1969 Camaro "Yenko" Clone
Awesome, awesome progress James! I love it! I feel your pain man, I hate the work after getting one painted. Not only do you have to be nervous about scratching it, but then you have to try to find all the parts scattered everywhere, and where the heck they went.

Re: 1969 Camaro "Yenko" Clone
Well we are off to paint, It is Friday nite, and the car goes to the body shop at 6. we wash the car, mask it and then seal a few spots and have the intitial silver basecoat on her by 3 ish later in the morn. We got back up at 7 and met at the shop at 8 and started again. we did not finish until 8 that nite. so total of 21 hours and 8 gallons of product on her!!!!! Oh and lots and lots of Tim Horton's on the way. She is nice. There is quite a few pics to follow, so any questions just ask. I do want to thro out a huge THANKS TO:
Mel my wife and harleigh my daughter, who came to visit and bring snacks. Birch at BOYD AUTOBODY for the use of the shop Joey for painting it, long time friends! and Ty from BRAD'S Towing for the haul!!!! If you guys need quality work, go to them!

James, I'm so jealous right now. It turned out awesome! Great job! I was thinking of using similar colors on my vette if I put some kind of stripe on it, but we didn't have time to play with that. LOL
