Very nice work.

So when are you going to get your own CNC mill & lathe so we can buy some of those caps?

Awesome work on those caps! Those are a work of art for sure! Your frame is looking great! Mine's just collecting parts a s a bench so you're doing better than me. And great score on the door panels and seat combo. That was one heck of a find!

Re: 1969 Short Wide

Thanks everyone for the compliments on the project and caps. We have some other ideas too. More on that later. I really enjoy making cool parts for our trucks. I don't like working for the "man" I want to have my own shop within the next 7 years. That is my lofty goal for early retirement.

hope to get the motor and trans cleaned up a little this week and installed so I can move on to the fuel system.

Great goal. I have the same thing in mind but need to get a different house with a shop or space for a shop to be built first then I can work on buying the machines I want.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

I have some progress to report on the project. I located and drilled the tranny mount, the motor stands and I got the motor and tranny bolted in the frame. Then started on the fuel system. Mounted the fuel pump (Walbro GSL392 Inline 255LPH) and the Corvette style filter regulator. Then ran the return supply and high pressure line to the filter. I still need to figure out the routing of the supply from the filter to the fuel rail. Here are the pics:

Re: 1969 Short Wide

Very nice work! I'd like to go full time with my deal, but the cost to buy insurance for the family and keep the doors open is tough. It makes it really hard to walk away from a pay check you know you're going to get every week.
