This is a HUGE impact to online forums of any kind.

Over the last few months there have been many, many complaints about slow access and the addition of advertisements on Photobucket.

So, to deal with the online traffic problems they, without warning, cut off all 3rd party access to photos and hold them ransom for a $399 annual subscription rate. This is obviously a move to just eliminate the traffic instead of upgrading their systems and maybe just charge a nominal extra fee for it.

I expect they are either going to file for bankruptcy or they will have to back off what they did. It was a totally arrogant move. If I were a member and even if they backed off, I would be moving elsewhere with my photo hosting service.

Ogre, when you find an alternative hosting source, I hope the site will give you permission to edit all your posts to change your photo links. I also hope you have all your photos archived on your own hard drives or you are really up the creek.

Hi, I've been using www.Postimage.com since the mess up with photobucket. I like it much better than photobucket and it's free! I like you and many others lost many stored pics which were on photobucket, not to mention time it takes to upload, etc.

Thank you Jim!(I don't want to high jack here) I'll post a little thread about the crap that we went through soon, it's been a crazy ride. Long story short, we moved away from the flooded home, and bought a nice place in Cypress, Tx. We've been here a little over a month and I've been working crazily trying to get my shop up and running.
The 59 Apache was spared due to being stored away from the flood, but my 67 Mustang(totally under water), the 73 Triumph was up on my Maxjax and got halfway. Again, thank you~ I'll be back!

1st load google chrome for a browser https://www.google.com/chrome/
2nd load ''photosuckit hotfix'' browser extension thru the link in my signature

i can see all the photos in all the build threads here, i forget that many can't
imo... chrome is a better web browser than ms internet explorer
microsoft could have done the same thing for a photosuckit patch
guess what? microsoft doesn't give a poop, other than selling you more software

Was already running chrome, loaded the "fix" and still nothing

I have yet to officially start adding photo's to my build thread. Still finishing up my shed. Is it possible to upload photo's directly from a desk top computer to this forum?

@scotty: i had a similar problem a couple months ago. i deleted the photosuckit extension, shutdown crome and reloaded the extension

probably should post future questions in the 'photosuckit fix for chrome thread'
might help others with the same questions

Just looked through your entire thread again mainly looking for pictures of throttle linkage and TV cable hook up.

Again really amazing work Ogre.

I alos noticed your converted barn. I have done a somewhat similar thing to a barn originally built in 1949 on my place. I still have lots to do but at least I am out of the wind and have a warm place to work now.

here is the best pic i found showing the tv & throttle cables
lower cable that heads over the distributor is throttle, hooks to the throttle cam
upper cable headed behind motor is tv cable hooked to 700r4
both from lokar: eliminator pedal

follow this lokar link about a third the way down you'll see the ramjet 350 brackets
C bracket bolts on the throttle cam, bent bracket bolts on instead of the ramjet cable holder

Ogre, you talk about mounting your radio antenna under the pass side step. I've been through your build a few times and can't find a pic of it. I know I saw a pic of it somewhere you posted but can't find it. If you wouldn't mind when you get some time post a pic or 2, trying to decide how to do this. Much appreciated, thanks.

delayed response, i'm escaping michigan winter by loafing in sarasota florida for a few months
i'm not on my home pc, where all my pics are and i just went thru my whole build to no avail.
not much to it, i used a couple holes in the step reinforcement and just wire tied it under the step
i bought the cheapest antennae autozone had, stripped all the mounting hardware off and zip tied it
i did wrap the mast in plastic tube to keep it from shorting to the step
if you get any engine whine, you'll need to ground the base, i did not ground mine
as far as i know it's still there, i never listen to radio, mp3 only

Gotta say this guy's work is top notch. Ogre. When doing custom fiberglass parts for the interior are you laying down one sheet of cloth? How much resin? Any other glass products to build the part up? Do you leave the skeleton under the glass or do you only use it for the initial form?

ogre used .5oz fiberglass mat on everything. mat is easier to work with in my opinion. mat cuts easy with a razor knife and tears easy. when wetted out with resin mat tends to conform to curves better than cloth. i'd tear the .5oz mat into 2x2 to 5x5 pieces, depending on the amount of curve or detail in the piece being fiberglassed.

to build the buck in preparation to be fiberglassed, use whatever is on hand: wood, cardboard (tube or flat), plywood, mdf and lots of masking tape to make a buck that can be covered in t-shirt fabric. staple on t-shirt material, it needs to be stapled on fairly tight. then mix up a couple oz of resin to wet out the fabric, let dry. mix up more resin coat the piece and lay fiberglass pieces in the wet resin, i prefer to use a harbor fright chip brush that has the bristles trimmed half an inch. use the brush to push the air bubbles out and make the fiberglass conform to the piece. edges should overlap and interweave.

most fiberglass pieces are made with multiple layers of fiberglass. how many depends on the use. sub-woofer enclosure takes a lot of abuse. mine is at least 10 layers thick. my kicks, arm rest/console and door panels are probably 5 layers

mat prep: i typically cut the mat into strips with a razor knife and tear the strips into smaller pieces
2x2 for more curves, up to 6x6 for dang near flat

i rarely mixed more than 12 oz of resin at a time; often 6 oz would be all i could work in before it started to set up. mixing small amounts take 7 drops of hardener for each oz of resin. 10 oz of resin was 70 drops of hardener. fark that. i used a small scale to weigh resin and added 3% to 5% hardener depending on how fast i wanted it to set up

kicks are more traditional. wood base, wood speaker rings and fiberglass covering

basic structure is 1/2" mdf with a little thickening on the bottom edge, speaker rings were made on my $5 router table

covered in t-shirt fabric tight enough to wet out with resin.

5 layers of .5oz mat with a little filler to smooth them out
