Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
Thanks, the belts are redone originals by a local guy. He does very good work. These have incorrect webbing technically but it's new and i'd put them in a show truck. I can do the correct webbing also.
Got front suspension apart ready for cupped lowers, bags, and better drums to go on next week. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
Couple more pics of the belts. Chrome is just polished original. Not perfect but always could be re-plated if you wanted perfect but price would go way up....these are already too nice for a shop truck

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
Ok. So heres my pics. Figured I'd stay up to email, resize and post these pics so you guys would have something to look at while enjoying your morning coffee. One pic shows clearance between the lower control arm and crossmember. Its a research pic because later I hope to give this truck one hell of an alignment. Another shows where the bumper sits with a tape measure. Hopefully, once the front is lowered and the truck rotates back over the axle, it won't be much higher than this when c-notched and aired-out. The rest are pretty self explanatory.
I left Jonathan's with more homework. I have a bed full of wheels and tires. Because I have time, I intend to slow down and weight match the wheels and tires to minimize wheel weights. I hope to go without any outside weights so as not to "ugly up" the look of the wheels. I'll catch you guys up on that soon.

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
Thanks for the pics! Love the way this truck is turning out and couldn't have done it without your help!
Plus it's always less like work and more like fun when hanging out with a friend who's also into trucks and as a huge bonus...knowsknows what he's doing and has the tools I don't have. Thanks again for all your help And love the idea on the rims. I am not expecting no weights but that would be very cool! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
Thanks! Yeah, the whole rear is rotated down because the front is so high but once you add in the 3" I will gain with a c-notch it will be close to the same height.....and that bumper is perfect for stepping into the bed....I didn't do that but like the way it looks that low it's weird to be able to sit on the rear bedside of the truck without having to jump up....I was looking things over after nick left and sat down on the corner of the bed and then it dawned on me that's not normal

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
Yes, 4 wheel drums. All have almost new wheel cylinders and were re-done within the last yr with under 100 miles put on them. Adding power booster, new master and lines where needed.
This is the only way I can still use the stock steel wheels as they are the style that won't fit the disc brake calipers. Posted via Mobile Device
