yeah it is either one of the trans gears or the speedo cable, not sure which one it is yet. I'm waiting for it to warm up to mess with it, The ground is cold

That's not the word I want to use. I like "took", or I guess I could use "steal" j/k

For 1/2 price? You know because of the bad economy and all.

Yeah 1/2 of what it would have cost you to send it in and have it fixed

Re: I'm one of you guys now

Great build! Glad to see you are into rust repair too! I love what you did to the cluster, too bad the tach didn't work, have you found a new / used replacement. I saw that guy with a whole box of them. Did you ever work a deal to buy them. It would be cool to have on in the kids box truck. Keep plugin along on it!

He got his tach working, now he's on the hunt for other tachs that need a new life.

Re: I'm one of you guys now

yeah I got them, they are mostly the older ones. There are 2 in there that I know I can fix if they don't work. I also got a bunch of the older gauges. So hopefully i can make some of the money back

Did you buy complete clusters or just the tachs? I would be interested in a tach but we are looking to find a 91 electronic speedo cluster....you don't have one of them too?

Re: I'm one of you guys now

Sorry Mike, I have both tachs and the entire clusters, but no electronic speedo clusters.
I'm planning on putting a tach in my '89 cluster. BLE 'BURBAN put a tach in his electronic cluster...here is his thread
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=265731

I need to check out the tachs and make sure they work correctly before I will be ready to sell, I'll let you know

I’m still kicking!

I sold this truck many years ago, though.
I moved on to crew cabs, but I’m kinda missing the regular cab

Good deal. I was thinking that I had seen your screen name relatively recently. Now I'm caught up on that CC thread too. That's got to be a nice driver now with the Cummins in it. I was glad to see that I'm not the only one who buys parts trucks and forgets to take them apart.

I haven’t gotten much seat time with the Cummins yet, still wrapping up some small stuff. But I can’t wait to put some miles on it.
