Mike, I pulled a T5 from an S10 out of a local parts salvage. I went thru it too, and replaced a few parts. Its amazing what one can learn with enough research and talking to enough people! I hate to duplicate all of my posts, so I will let yall know when I get it in the truck and whether or not it runs, but do most of my posting on my build thread. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
your engine looks bad a$$ who cares if it will turn all of those pulleys it will look good sitting still lol I am not sure that mighty six is the fastest six and for you that have not seen the or heard of the vortec 6 it came in trailblazers. there was a guy that had a turbo powered one in a Malibu wagon that turned some serious times and always did a nice wheel stand off the line.should be able to find it on youtube.

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
i have a question for anyone running an offenhauser intake and using engine coolant to heat the intake. when i ordered my headers from tom langdon he told me that the freeze plugs in the bottom of the intake will leak and he has a write up on how to make sure it doesn't leak, has any one had this issue? how long will it take before it leaks? and what did you do to fix it?
here is a link to toms write up on this issue.. http://stoveboltengineco.com/2012/02...let-manifolds/

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
The freeze plugs are heilarced on mine. Now I know why. The manifold is a couple of years old. Bought from langdon. Mike

Some guys don't heat it at all (normally in warmer climates than Tom is in up North) and report NO problems at all. Tom is a very smart guy, and VERY adamate about this topic, but in the end, the decision is yours! When I fired my engine for the very first time, it was only minutes before the copper tubing that I used started the dark rainbow coloring from the heat, so I know for a fact that the intake is getting hot quick, no waiting on the coolant to warm up! Have you already plumbed it up? If so, my rambling did you no good, and I didnt even answer your question! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
When I first installed the motor I had a bad bog off the line. Installed the hot water lines and it went away!!! Offenhauser manifold and Holley 390 carb. Mike
