Thanks for the kind words. Came home for the day to measure the rear end. 60" on the dot. Also measured for back spacing on the fronts so I can order them Monday. Also got a new chrome alternator. Let me know what you guys think

I like the color. Mine is going to be I think the same color. Chevrolet Orange with satin black engine compartment. and Orange and black interior. Can't wait till I am at your stage. it loks real fine.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

Full trim? Lower woodgrain? .. or just plain?

Shes got the shoes.. now she needs the necklace. I kinda like full 71-72 trim. Yes I read Plain Jane. it will be killer either way.

It will definitely have full trim. The only thing I am contemplating is leaving the trim stock or using paint remover and removing the black and scuffing it with scotch bright to match the wheels. I might do a few little test pieces but I think it would look nice with the brushed contrasting the polished on the trim. I just want it to be a little different

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

Going brushed would be killer... How the heck would you do the chrome door handles though??? Have to be really careful with not going through the coating or did you plan to have them coated after you sand them?

I wouldn't do the door handles or window trim, just replace the black on the trim with brushed. That way the door handles and grill and vent windows will match the outer part of the trim still.

Thank you. I also need to personally thank you for convincing me that a floating 9 inch is cooler then a 12 bolt. Has my dad talked to you about the power tour?

Damn that's one SICK truck! I had to go through your build thread from start to finish, again, just to remember what you've done. Nice work! Keep it up... and the pics, of course.

Thanks for checking in Jeff. Right now I'm at a stand still waiting for my rear end guy to finish up my housing, then it'll be a roller. Once it's a roller it's going straight to the body shop for final paint and body. All the panels are fit to my liking so it's ready to go. I also ordered my front wheels from intro and they should be here any day now
