Not forgotten, we have been cleaning up the sport mirrors, ordering door felts, vent wing rubber, and rebuilt kit. I talked to my buddy and they are massaging the cowl so the gaps are pretty... It will slow down a bit as we need to save up for the ron francis wiring kit, tach dash, etc, etc.
you have made much progress... keep at it....

What is the biggest difference in the Ron Francis kit and the Amercian Autowire kit?

from the research i have done. AAC does not have a direct replacement for the 67-68 currently as the ebrake location is in the way. they do offer for 69-72 though. I have a Ron Francis in my '56 and would just like to stay the same with my son's as i have never had issue and the support when i installed the harness was phenomenal, and i hear it still is.

I don't know if this is a rumor, but i have heard that a ex Ron Francis engineer started AAC, but i never researched it. both kits looks awesome, i just want to be able to tell the vendor what i have, and it shows up ready to plug and play , no cutting and reconnecting the connectors etc.

Re: Project Slo-Go 67

I used the Ron Francis Kit on mine. It looks clean and the cusotmer service is great. I went with them because it was explained to me they build the kit for each vehicle. They keep record of the serial number of the kit incase you have problems.

You can get direct replacement but I'm far from stock, thus
the need for a custom harness. Check americanautowire.com, you could also pm mike (mbgmike) a board vendor.

It ought to be considering that dude's been working on it for almost 10 years.

I know what you mean, budics truck does look hot. I sure like the looks of yours too though. I'd leave it like it is.
