Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build
Windsheild, Paint and then the wood bed. Upholstery work while its being painted.
Local glass company quoted me a front windsheild yesterday installed and warranty $140.00 plus $59.00 for the gasket. I'm thinking this weekend. My brother in law is working on the wood for the bed. and the body man is waiting on me.

Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build
Well finally got off my a$$ and got back in the shop last night.
I found a source for some of the parts I been needing. So I thought I would tackle a couple these areas so the body man wouldn't have to and save me from paying him. Anyone want to come by and help me snatch my hood off..

Did you score some fenders and wheel wells or are you gonna patch them?

Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build
I had found the inner fenders a while back. just waiting till I found some fenders before I replaced them. that way I do it all at one time.
I drive past this little car lot all the time and have never stopped in before. yesterday he has a 63 GMC out front so I stopped. he wanted $1000.00 for it and it has transmission problems and some idiot sprayed gloss black paint on everything..even the chrome grill and bumper.. Anyway, I told the man I only needed some parts for this era of trucks. He said "whatcha need" I told him, and he said follow me. We went into the little shop he had and there sat a cherry 65 swb under clear plastic. it was his project truck. Now I know why he had the plastic on it, I drolled all over it.. he then said follow me...we then went out back to his little salvage yard and there they were 7 or 8 trucks lined up in a row. what a sight.. we talked for long time about trucks and stuff. I will get the parts I need this weekend. I took some crummy phone pics. But you kinda get the idea of what I meen. I will take some more pics Saturday.
