Hello all!I am new to this site and have been looking for weeks for a post on what is the biggest wheel and tire combo you can fit under a 72 swb fleet side c10. I want to put 14 inch wide rims with 10 inch backspace and M/T sportsman 31x16.5-15 tires under my ride. I do not want to do any frame modifications other that coil overs if i have to.Can anyone that has this setup post some pics and let me know what setup would be easiest for the widest wheel and tire combo, As I am ready to buy new shoes for my baby but I don't want to end up having a couple of expensive sets of paper weights. Thanks guys

Here is my '69. It's the factory rear with an Eaton L/S unit and 4.56 ring and pinion. This truck has taken me a little over 3yrs. to get where I'm at today.

Was in hot rod magazine when it was sbc back in the 80's and belonged to Mike Mendenhall. Jeff Atkins fabrication Pete Thompson engine 496 with A LOT of nitrous. Street raced car.

Just wanted to show what I have completed so far, still have a long ways to go. Also this is my first build so if you see something that needs to be changed please let me know.
I fabricated the back half out of 2"X4" .188" wall tube, most people say that its a overkill but oh well the damage is done. The tires are 33X22X20 MT SSR's with 20"X16" Billet Specialties Stilettos. The 4 link's a pro street set up. Will have a 9" rear-end, waiting on that to be narrowed. To finish off the rear I have QA1 single adj coil overs. I have a Scotts Super Slam front suspension going in once the rear is completed. Then take it back apart for powder coat. Thanks for looking. Tim |
