Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"

Not much. I have been to busy with the boys baseball.

I did get the dana 70 swapped in and the disc brakes installed. I also ordered a aol setup for the rear that should be here tomorrow.

I also have the tailgate about ready to shoot.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"

I finished the rear end and disc swap yesterday and got the aol bags installed. We went for a little drive last night, it rides great now. No more tire vibration from the wheels not being centered on the cheap spacers i had on the 14bb.
I need to borrow a pressure bleader to bleed the brakes, they feel like there's still some air in them.
I'm ready to put some miles on her now so i can check the fuel milage.

X2 on the 1st and 2nd question? Thinking of doing the same on my 2wd
1 ton CCSWB project. I want the better ride, but want to keep the stock height and towing capacity.

Adam & gmmech,
I pulled out 4 leafs leaving 5 total. For now the front will stay static, i need to get the bedliner and a few other things done then maybe bag the front and buy all the parts to go with it.
Adam, i am running a 4l60e trans.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"

Ok guys here's some new pics.

I checked the milage yesterday. It got 17 mpg, not to bad for a 3 ton brick with 4.10 gears.
I still need to install the tailgate band and get new mouldings for the gatea also.

Man, I think it'll look good with the trim on and the panel off too. But that's just me. That color looks good there. Either way it looks sweet!
