Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Went by the shop, found out they put the door seals on backwards, gonna see how it works, they may have to redo them, and buy new ones as those little plastic rivets break off if you try to take them out.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Over the last few days I have been working on my interior -

Basically I sat the battery in the box in the cab - decided against a firewall mount... Then I covered up my seat pan, built two speaker boxes for the rear corners of the cab, then installed a 10-inch sub, 400 watt amp, and two 6x9's in the back. A newdeck with IPOD connectivity went into the frenched-in box in the dash.

I bought the kick panels that have speakers built into them through LMC a while back... Got those trimmed and installed them with velcro tape for easy out reasons. Havent worried about upholstering them yet.

I still have a dual cone in dash speaker (also through LMC) that I need to get installed.

Stereo sounds awful nice though =) Will be a 400 watt, 6-speaker/10" sub in that little 49 cab

Then I re-installed my seats.

My truck now has seats in it for the first time in over 7 years! Stay the course

Pictures when I can get around to it.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Here is the sub/amp/6x9 rear speaker setup

I've got the seats back in now. Working on wiring up the three front speakers.

My battery was dead today - since there are only two hot wires I don't think it's a drain problem - more than likely a 7 year old battery thats giving up the ghost after sitting in the garage for 7/10th's of a decade

I have the extra battery cable there as I intend to put a cutoff switch in when i am ready to make a console...

Smile Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Mate has remounted the Jag rear an inch higher to lower the rear, and I bought a set of blockhuggers for the SBC swap that will commence in a bit over a weeks time.

Truck has Jag front end too, and calipers are off being repaired, and the guages are out and getting made workable too.

And I did some work on my T Coupes electrics today so I can make it street legal again (We have a warrant of fitness regime here) as I have a buyer who wants it, but wants me to have it all legal.

The truck is still drivable but some extra cash from the Coupe sale will get the project accelerating along.

We will use it next weekend to get to a friends daughters wedding in the North Island, and then the engine swap can start. Im hoping that it may be all done by early April, then I can bring it home (a 600 mile drive).

Am looking forward to it, big time

Front trim on, still waiting for windows, warmer weather for the rubber will help.

Are my eyes deceiving me or are those pictures of a five lug spare and another picture of a six lug wheel? I'd hate to get a flat if so. -Doug

Your eyes aren't deceiving you. It's a five lug wheel but it goes on a different truck.

Nothing. I made this pile working on Ms. Joan's greenhouse, the current domestic priority. Then I did this because it was still warm and sunny.
