bought the heads off LS1tech.com.
Ha. the frame shortening wasn't actually that painful. Measure carefully and then measure again. Hold your breath and cut it up!

damn, I wish. I just got back from a week out of town and there's all sorts a crap piled up. Still buying parts for the LS2 though. When I get the time to build it, I won't be waiting on parts to arrive. I think I have almost every piece except the harness and ecu.

You got a great stance on your truck. How much did you lower it?

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.

don't know the exact measurement, but the front cross member will sit on the ground with the air all the way out. when it's aired up it's about 6 inches off. the pic of it back a couple of pages is with the air out. I can't drive it like that because the tire is sitting on the inner fender.

Unbelievably busy. Thanks for asking. If I have the time to work on the truck, I don't have the money and when I have the money, I don't have the time. There's a new years resolution in order.

My New Years Resolution is to only work 4 days a week, and the rest of the week is all MINE.
I hope I can keep it.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.

Thanks 63short. I'm also raising kids and trying to keep the wife happy. It's a delicate balance but sometimes the wife will just have to be pissed. I'm going to try and get it drivable by summer. Pay no attention to all of the deadlines in my thread that I've blown by. This one's for real.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.

Thanks Joe. Happy New Year to you too. I'm trying to make time, believe me. I'm about to hit the 4 year mark and I want to drive the old girl before I die. Seriously, I day dream about driving it all the time and can't wait to actually get in and fire it up.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.

Nice! Thanks for the motivation. I actually spent all day out in the garage cleaning and organizing stuff so I can make some progress next week. I might have enough money to pull the trigger on the transmission I want. I'm planning on getting the new Tremec RS 500 5 speed. Wish me luck. Thanks RAD.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.

Oh, I'm getting the machine work done on my LS2 right now. I'm going 4.030 bore and standard stroke to make 370 cubes. If I had another grand I could buy the stroker set up and make a 408. I'm still trying to sell my old 350 on craigslist, but no luck yet.
