One of the only two trucks I have ever have seen that were chopped before mine in 1974. These trucks got very little love. I have the Rod and Custom magazine with that truck in it, along with the Dream Truck.

Hey Brian! I chopped mine in about 1981. Had to use a hack saw 'cause my dad wouldn't let me use his power tools

! Actually, his experience and guidance were invaluable. We are still working on it together today!

Interesting box on the back of the AD. Is it canvas or tar paper? What purpose are the 2 openings on the front? B&O railroad photo from the mid to late 50's judging from the 2 cars in the back right side.

That's a nice truck.

I don't know what the brackets are for, but I'm fairly certain I can find them in one of my old JC Whitney catalogs.

That truck was NOT the norm, these trucks not no love back then, pretty rare to see a customized one. I am wondering about how low it is, I am thinking it's got another frame under it, or a front frame section welded on would be more likely. But the Rod and Custom Dream truck had a 50 Olds frame under it for a bit, they were thinking about that stuff back then, maybe that is what they did to this one.

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that it may have a Cadillac frame/suspension with the early air ride and possibly a Caddy mill. My theory is all based on the Cadillac emblem on the hood.

Caddy script on side, '50s Olds gunsight in the front, not sure what the script reads on the bottom of the fender, and it's parked by a trailer with Chevrolet posters and in front of a '56 with something poking out of the hood... lotsa interesting things there.

Ok, so that adds another one I had seen but thought it was Gil’s Auto Body Works truck! I always thought they were the same truck and mine fell in at number 3 that I had seen chopped. So now my truck is the forth one that I have seen documented as chopped.

The Ortega truck was chopped a few years after mine. So I am still at number four! WHOOO HOOO!

LOL There had to be more, I get it, but documented, from what I have seen over the years mine is number 4.
