Re: Rustbuket 67 build "Georgia"

The specs so far...

5" rear drop coils from Brothers Trucks
Porterbuilt fully adjustable track bar
20x10 ???? Budnik Famosa. got them used haven't had the bald tires off to measure yet.
275/35/20 currently, look a little too small, I will go with a 295/40/20 when I get the funds.

It really does look good with the contracting colors and Grade 8 hardware. Keep after it Dan!

Dan,

Great job on the frame paint scheme. I'm envious of your attention to detail.

Wow. That look's cool. I was considering going body color with my trailing arms before switching over to leafs, but that silver is definitely sharp looking. Nice build!

The silver does give it a contrast affect. Are you going to leave it that way. Just asking. I like it.

Thanks Gdavis, Yeah all moving parts are powder coated silver. If I were to change anything I would have painted the frame a satin black. Gloss black is a pita!! Congrats on all the work you have done to yours, it looks great!

I will start on the front suspension tomorrow and hopefully get it together by the end of the weekend.

Wow! Looks great. I'm going to have to step my game up to get even close to that. I plan to do some suspension upgrade later on after I'm driving this thing around, so I'll be sure to consult your build when that time comes. Keep up the good work!

It's been awhile since I checked in here. She's progressing nice. I am a huge fan of the black/silver on the frame. I went with something similar on my shortbox as well. Keep up the good work!

Wow, Dan, it's coming along great. I wish I had the patience and know how that you do. You have gone to a place that's way above my comfort level.

Thank you. Yours is looking great! Love the bed, gives me some ideas for the future...

I have been busy getting ready for our second child, a boy who will be born in the next few weeks. Only things I got done to the truck was pressing the lower ball joints in and set the engine/trans and cab on the frame temporarily for tornado/hail storms. Have to keep one side of the garage open for the lady's Honda. I just ordered some headers last night too. Here is a pic of my helper and the cleaned up garage. Enjoy!
