Re: Our "What are we going to do?" 66 Suburban Build
Well, we chased down some Manley 3/8" .080 wall 4130 push rods, new longer ARP studs, new guide plates, and some stainless roller rockers for the burb. Got it all buttoned up except for stabbing the dist., (trashed one of the o-rings) and hooking up a few lines.
Hope to fire it up tomorrow and see what it feels like with all 8 cylinders...

Got it up and running again. MSD Ignition, roller rockers, and all 8 cylinders running made a pretty big difference!! Damnedest thing!!

Re: Our "What are we going to do?" 66 Suburban Build
We've been looking for a first gen for a long time and while not a barn find, per se, this one has been in the same family w/ 3 different owners from 67 till 91 when it was parked with a blown AC compressor...been sitting for the last 23 years! Supposedly under a tarp most of that time, last year or two not though. It'll be out of the weather from here on out though!
We're psyched, gonna build this out for the wife to enjoy.
