Re: Slosh Tubz new company project "Square Peg" frame laying 1987 GMC Jimmy

Blang blang! Those mock-up wheels just prove that the proportions of the blazer are better suited to 22's.

Are you sticking with those mirrors or going with sport mirrors?

Mike, I used old raydot mirrors on mine. I have the single piece windows, and mounted them in the little triangle piece just forward of the window

The stock "sport" mirrors look pretty good IMO, very similar to the 69-72 sport mirrors.

Oh yeah, early clip and the deuces. Looking good! I think you need to paint it ochre/white insert with saddle guts

Re: Slosh Tubz new company project "Square Peg" frame laying 1987 GMC Jimmy

make some pics straight from the side so people and do some photoshop stuff on it colour wheels that sortah stuff
as for mirrors make sure you can still mount big mirrors when youre towing maibe make sunting you can hook mirrors ontoo without scratching the paint like let them hang from a roofrack or sumtin like that

sumtimes you can find realy good looking mirrors in bike catalogs they usually only take one hole to mount

I vote '77 blazer clone.
Yellow/gold "one year only" trim,... with a woodgrain insert on the side.
This is member bigblock73's old blazer that I almost bought.
Factory plaid interior also,...

I agree... stock sport style mirror is the only option IMO. Classic, sleek and just plain cool.

Stellar idea! But I'd have Chuck spray the trim around it instead of using stock trim, and see what he thinks about where the border should be.

I bet you love all our suggestions, don't ya?

Nothing to see here...just your everyday family utility vehicle with a woodgrain motif laying frame on 22's...move along folks.

I've seen woodgrain airbrushed and it looks good!

Kustom Werx did airbrushed trim back in the day on a 2 tone 72 C10, blue with gray insert. Very cool! I love the idea of airbrushing whatever trim you decide to go with.
