This is one of my favorite threads. I don't have a picture of my K20 at the moment but, here is one of my favorite truck (not mine). Mine is almost identical minus the lift and color. I'll post pics once I get the paint buffed out here soon

Not a frame off but a ton of work.. left the original am radio
71 front dana 44 with discs.
new chrome inner and grill shell / bumper / bezels / bowtie
new cab mounts and bushings.
re-wired with american auto wire. classic instrument gauge set.
all L.E.D. Light fixtures / LED Headlights.
new 4"lift / shocks
new headers and dual 2.5" exhaust
New 16x8 wheels / 33" tires
New steering box/ column / drag link/ Tie rod
all new brakes - everything including lines
Rebuilt motor
new turbo 350
new Be-cool radiator with dual fan set up
new carb/manifold/alt/water and fuel pump/power steer pump.
new emblems
new exterior wood trim
new seat
new interior to match a 71 (dynamat & carpet)
I'm sure I'm missing a ton of stuff but its been fun and a fight the entire 8 months I have been working on it.
It has 4.11 gears so I think I need to go with 3.73 to drive it 60mph
I wish I could do a different tranny but Im running out of money.. If anyone has any info on what gears I should go with please let me know, this truck will go camping and minor trails but its mainly my driver for the weekends.I would like it to do better on the HWY and a better on gas

I got this stuff laying around plus a ton more if anyone has any stuff to trade or sell... Im in the SF Bay area (nor Cal) - I would be willing to trade for new gears put in my truck

Here is a picture of my '69 K20 that is really close. 16x7 wheels, 255x85x16 tires. 1 inch lift with HD springs in the front and 1 inch block in the back.

I'll bet the truck has a 2 inch lift, the same Ford 16x7 wheels I have, (forum recommended) and maybe 285x75x16 tires or 315x85x16 tires.

Nice truck! I am a sucker for the steel wheels with tall skinny meats on them and a slight lift.

I am getting close to being road worthy on my 6 year resto/build. I painted my truck solid red also (tough decision on the color...) because I didn't want to deal with molding. I have a 2" lift and I've been looking at wheels for probably 2 years at least. Help me out! I want to post my pictures here too!

That looks really nice. Had a lot of medium olive poly K/20s and always wanted to do a "fancy" one with 2-tone. Too bad the mirrors were mounted like that.
