Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build
Sorry It took so long to get back, I was out of town for a Car show.
Pic #1. This shows the side view of the flange that was made to hold the upper portion of the panel it basically "wedges it " Pic #2. The top of the center panel gets bolted to the lower section of the dash. Pic #3. The panel set in place. It also has a interior "push clip" at the very bottom that gets popped in a hole to hold it tight, This way most of it is hidden. Pic #4. I also started on the Gas pedal mount. It's made from 16gauge metal, The 3 holes are for mounting to the fire wall Pic #5. The mount set in place for mockup.

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build
Thank's Doug, He couldn't stop smiling when he was here and kept saying "I'm ready to go!!"
We finally have all the wiring finished up, and have a few loose ends to figure out yet. Once I have the lower rad. hose figured out and get the steam line ran I can fill her up and get ready to crank it!. RodRun....ask and you shall receive. Pic #1. This was back when I first finished up the cluster. Pic #2. This was Saturday when we were checking the system for full power. They are SpeedHut gauges with GPS speedo. Pic #3. Checking out the brake lights and they don't disappoint!! Mark...

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build
Yesterday I had TNT glass come out to install the windshield and back glass..
It's pretty amazing how fast these Guy's can be (windshield took about 5 min.) The back glass took longer do to a shorter piece of glass from LMC and we didn't know if it would just "fall out" of the gasket, so we finally took a chance and it worked out just fine...whew!!! Pic #3. Is just showing the new black mat installed and a preview of the center console, After ordering some parts from classic parts I didn't see the "pawl clip" for the door locks and they are on back order for 3 weeks! so Can't finish the doors up just yet Mark...

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build
I made some more progress over the weekend.
Pic #1. Mocking up the fan and shroud,It needed several spots trimmed to be able to fit it without rubbing. Now time to make the upper mount. Pic #2. Since the shroud would be up above the Radiator I needed to make a cover/mount hence this piece of aluminum. Pic #3. This is what it looks like set in place. It gets bolted to the core support and the upper lip of the shroud. The bottom of the shroud needed some short brackets made up to attach to the stock mounting holes of the core support. Pic #4. And...the finished product all painted and installed. Pic #5. Another view, I feel it came out pretty good it still keeps it clean looking. Other progress made was all hoses finalized, steam vent hooked up,over flow hooked up, door lock fixed, most of the console was installed. Mark...
