Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I changed the 4x4 output shaft on my tranny to a 2wd output shaft. I guess that is another way to hold the output shaft up for you while you get the clip on..

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Found out that CPP 5 inch rear coils net you about 8 inches. The bumper sat at 18" off the garage floor now it sits at 10". Went pretty smooth with my little helper. First pic is before.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Went on our first road trip adventure. The four of us went to Gravenhurst, 2.5H drive into the Muskoka Region of Northern Ontario. This is where Goldie Hahn, and Kurt Russell use to have a place, yes, multi million dollar cottages! I expected that the old girl would hold up fine on the trip (but you never know), and she did. Made a point of packing a couple boxes of tools, and a couple of spare tires. The day before we left, I got some good news and bad news, my front tires came in, but my back tires would not be in for 2 more weeks At least I was running two tires that were less than 25 years! Also still trying to decide what depth beauty rings I want on the new black wheels, and have not ordered center caps yet either. Great car show in gravenhurst, the 19th annual, over 200 vehicles, only one other 60-66 truck though. Enjoy some pics!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Replaced the brake booster and master cylinder on the 65. Bolted on 74 C10 parts and only had to extend the brake rod slightly to reach the brake pedal.

WOW! I now have brakes!! I don't need to stand on them anymore! So much more fun to drive!

Those are going to be some big rears! Let me know how they work out. I like that wide look in the back... Of the truck.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Yesterday, I test fit the inner fenders to the core support. Fit great!

Then I removed the interior in prep for removing the cab and started removing the steering column so I can shorten it.

Not too much but, still, progress.
