Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
One of the few cowl hoods Ive seen for the 60-66 that Ive liked. I like how they carried that centerline all the way down the hood. Has anybody ever seen a 60-61 hood with a cowl?

I love how they sectioned and lowered the hood. It's metal hood w/fiberglass scoop.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Thanks, I certainly will check them out. I've had the truck for 6 years but just recently found this forum, its got loads of great pics and lots of info that would have been a great help when i was building it.
The paint is Hot Rodz Flat "Daytona Blue" its a low gloss paint. Not really liking it as much as I thought I would, its a little more shiney than i hoped for but its just dull enough to not show off the flake in it. |

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
I saw a different picture posted earlier and that is the nicest looking custom console I've ever seen in one of these trucks. It looks like an OEM GM accessory. I'm curious, are your rear fenders widened? Also, do you know what the seat is out of? It seems to be a perfect fit and looks really comfortable.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Thanks, yea i feel like i'm flooding the site with pics cause i'm new. The console was built by a buddy of mine who builds fiberglass speaker boxes, I had him build it so I wouldn't have to cut the factory dash. If you look against the firewall in the other pic you can see the acess door for my fuse panel. He also built the trim pieces for the seat, they house 6X9's that are facing forward. The seat itself came from a mid 90's chevy truck, I had it recovered with black vynal and red stitches and wanted it to feel modern but have an old style look to it. Its a very strange seat, it's a 60/40 but the driver side is the 60 part. I can't believe someone actually noticed the rear fenders! Yes, they are 3" wider than stock, they are fiberglass and they came from classic chevy parts. If you can see the step it is smooth and thats the only thing that really gives it away. I went with them so I could tuck the 15X10 rear rims inside the fender just incase i ever decide to run bags.
