Love it! Other than wheels and tires, I wouldn't change a thing. It's like a time machine to a simpler, slower paced era.

I would leave this thing as it is and drive the hell out of it. It's such a time machine, you don't see them like that anymore.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
I'm not how well you guys can see the truck, but the pic is pretty old.
The lifted Chevy is my uncle's '85 Stepside. The little blond baby is me, and I'm 20 now so the pic here is pretty old lol. I'm not too sure how big a lift he had on it lol, but it's a nice looking truck. He's still got it, but hasn't tagged it in over a decade because it won't pass California smog.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Lol, I was back home a couple summers ago and where it sits now there's no way to get in for good pics. It sits under the carport collecting dust and spiderwebs. My uncle takes it out and drives it every now and again but not often because it's not legal. I wish I could find more pics of it. If I could get him to take pics of it and send 'em I would lol but I don't want him to go through the stress of moving it just for pics.

You should buy it off of him and register it in your state.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Too long a drive to get it, and if I had the money I probably would, but I don't see him selling it lol

Took this picture with my cell phone at work. The truck is not mine.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Just acquired this beginning of this week. The body was really the selling point for me. It has an early generation of the Vortec 350, beefed up tranny (from what I am told), complemented with headers and 3" exhaust. Of course with buying a used truck you always have the surprises. The motor seems real strong and drives great.
My plans are to through some 20x8.5 on the front and 20x10s on the rear tucked nicely. Completely redo the interior, throw in an A/C, mold in the tailgate and a bed cover...just to name a few. I am putting two new rear 295/50/15s on this truck for now, but when I get my 20s if anyone wants this set give me a shout.

Thanks...It does look like yours. I got a lil to do, but I don't think its a bad start. I just found a 454 that I may drop in it.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here's my '80 C10 350/4-speed
Far from perfect, but it's definitely starting to grow on me. The main plan is to get it running pretty decent and maybe clean it up a bit, but definitely not a frame off restoration. On a tight budget as of right now so just looking for a dependable/easy to work on truck.
