Thanks man. I'm very happy with how it turned out. You'll be extremely pleased if you've been dealing with an old 3 speed.

yup, 3spd, hurst floor shift (originally column though), shift linkage gets jammed every once in a while if I don't treat it the right way (must be a female shifter), have to get out, crawl under and pop it into neutral, hasn't happened at a traffic light yet, but I am sure it will.

hahaha that brings back bad memories. I've had several 1st gen blazers & in one of the I had a hurst 3 speed shifter that would bind at the worst times. It happened at several stop lights. people get really annoyed waiting while you crawl under & fiddle with your tranny.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

i have the cardbord black sun visors and i wanted them to match the interior better.

the main portion i used Krylon Brushed Metallic satin Champagne Nouveau (Fawn) and for the border stiched area i used Krylon satin Ivory. i used the same cans of paint to do my door panels a couple weeks ago.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Installed my $20 ebay wiper transmission arms. Now I just have to find some wiper arms and blades. Anyone know the best place to find some for our old trucks?

I bought new arms and blades from Chevy Duty (Classicparts) but didn't like them. They provide 12" blades, but 13" blades fit better. Also the new reproduction arms have very few splines inside (compared to originals) on the socket end that fit over the transmission towers. This minimizes the ability to adjust where the arms sit when parked on the windshield, meaning one of them always sticks up and looks crooked. It took me a while, but I eventually found all NOS stuff on Ebay and it fits perfectly and the blades park flat, directly above the lower windshield gasket.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Thanks, Mark! That's good info (as always). Looks like I'll have to get some re-pops, at least temporarily, and keep trolling CL and ebay until some NOS arms come available. I'm tired of worrying about getting caught in the rain w/out wipers.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

What an unbelievable improvement. I can't believe that sun visor is painted. It looks like freshly sewn Naugahyde now. Nice color combination too.

Did you paint the material ? They look great! What color was the material before you painted it? Great job, I'm very interested in doing the same

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Put my truck in a local car show today and got 1st for truck catagory, very unexpected, was in such a rush I forgot my camera, sorry guy's and gals, had about 28 I think turn out from our area. We know there are at least 200 in our area and close to 100 finished, sad people won't bring them out and have fun.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Picked up a hidden type hitch, was going to mount it today, but the exhaust will need to be moved. I was quite surprised that I could order a hitch that would bolt right in. Two of the three holes needed on each side of the frame are already there, so once I get the exhaust moved, it will be a quick install.

Where did you purchase the hitch?

Cb, In the 2nd. picture, I can understand the BIG Friggin' hammer, but why the axe? That has got to be a hard way to cut the hoses?
