I had to pursuade a few rusty bolts out!! The rubber mallet was no match for the core support bolts. I had the axe with a flat end and gave the bolts a few hard wacks before they broke loose.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I really got a lot done for once, painted the engine compartment, got the painted engine in there,
got the final touch on my radiator, painted behind the grill and put in clear park light lenses

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

replaced the big over sized mirrors with the stock mirror.
replaced the old gas cap with a new locking gas cap that is correct for 65.
removed the plywood to reveal the original wood bed.
painted the bumper and light bezels to get a better idea what it will look like when i get the chromed.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

continued the pre-assembly. We have done all the measurements, except for the distributor and oil-pickup tubes; we're procrastinating on those, but everything else is good to go.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I towed the truck home today. My Ranger sure is getting a workout, but then again more then half of the truck is missing. Now I can start putting it back together. Hopfully be driving it by the end of next month.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

After searching high and low, I finally found the rubber I want for my back end, 295/50R/15 BFG Radial T/A's, ordered them, between shipping from Georgia to Buffalo, then through my company's customs broker, should have them end of next week.
