Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
thanks guys , getting more excited all of the time myself !! Last night we worked on getting the parts ready to start putting everything on my motor , pretty exciting getting parts out that have been in boxes for years, i took a red scuff pad to a pretty polished water pump, alt, and ac compressor last night.....made me a little sick, going for that brushed look on those parts !! LOL, my March pulley system is all powdercoated black so i hope the brushed stuff will break it up a little !

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
the brakepedal might look even better if you wedge it in between two polished or brushed and holed aluminium plates , you do need to machine a channel in the plates to fit around the original steel or paint the metal part red to stand out in between the sandwish the pedal part itself gets covered so it should look ok as it is
to bad you didnt made a little lip out to inside the bed when you made that raise for the door at the tailgate , if you done that you could've slid the wood underneat it and hide the spacing you have now , you need that spacing for the wood to work a little . you might still be able to make a covering out of some chrome L profile that goes from the wood down behind the raise machine the ends of the wood so the L sits level with the floor and use the strips to hold it down we used to do it somewhat that way when we put loadfloors in big rig trucks layed them flat on the boxprofile screwed them in and cover the end on the doorside with and L profile welded on the box , you could hide a lot of stuff doing it that way and keep the wood from splintering when hit with a forklift
