New sway bar, springs, pulleys and a clutch fan. I had to make a .125" stainless shim plate for behind the crank pulley so I could align the belts. It was also a 20" fan trimmed down and balanced, to 18" to fit the stock shroud.

Got my 6.0 LS in place and bolted down. Dirty Dingo mounts and cross member..
Very tight fit with the TH350 in stock position...hooked up throttle cable and installed my home pinned harness.

Changed door seals, hated the glue mess and crappy fit.
Ordered the push on style for GMCpauls.

Thumbs up Door Seals

Based on a tip I read here I bought the ?Dodge Dakota? (correct me if that's wrong) door seals from Steele Rubber Co. and installed them, they're made in America and so have much better quality and won't rot away in two years like the Chinese crappo ones do .

That 6.0 Liter engine looks impressive, I can't imagine feeding it .

I got those. Easy to install but a biznatch to close the doors. I have to slam mine.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Put new rear end in my Longhorn, a GM 9.5 14 bolt SF, replaced my HO72. Just couldn't find any gears anymore, just Brake pads and bearings. So now I went from 4.11 gears to 3.42, very relaxed Highway driving now-2500 rpm @ 65mph! Plus, it's a lot easier on gas now. Good thing about that axle is there are a ton of different gears out there from 3.20's all the way up to 5.11 or so. If you got all the parts you need, you can do it in one weekend pretty easy.

The pedal is easy to come out.
Take the bolt out on the leaver/push rod side of the pedal use a chisel or screw driver too open up the leaver and pull the pedal out the left side of the assembly .... real easy and leaves lots room for the left foot with the small brake pedal pad.

Yesterday I got the dash and doors mostly back together.
Put a guage cluster in and a matching wiring harness in instead of the hacked mess idiot lite cluster harness that was in it.

Better door handles and door locks that match the ignition key.
New dash pad
A good heater control,
New heater tubes,
Cleaned up and lubed inner heater boxes.

I gotta find my stash of radio of oe radio knob bucket mounts to put the radio and glove box in yet.

And I have a perfect 67 camaro steering wheel to put in too see if i like it better than the oe wheel but the column is coming out today for lube and cleaning.

And I'm gonna cut and weld up the heater core mounts so they fit my aluminum heater core.....then the outer heater box can go back in.

Hook up the auto meters
And put the seat in.

I'm kind of digging the multi colored body for now.
One day I'll blow it all apart and it will all be black like it orginally was.

Nice work. Looks like you have added to the collection since you picked up the 68 in Reno.

Haven't addressed it yet, but walked by the truck this morning and saw a nice little puddle of coolant under the lower radiator hose, which was wet.

That's just your truck telling you not to put ugly parts on it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Today, I finally paid attention to what my truck was telling me. For some time, while trying to finish up my build, I have been fighting with door alignment. I managed to get the drivers door (and accompanying spacing) very close to what I wanted but the pass. door has been another story. Ive had the door off and on a few times seeking the correct location before I said screw it and let it sit for a few months. Today I decided to tackle it again and for some reason I suspected the hinges (the new aftermarket hinges). I dug out one of the old hinges and low and behold--they are made differently---only slightly, but they ARE different. Luckily enough I had a spare door in the supply room and even better the "old" hinges were very tight. So, now I have two "new" yet "old" hinges painted and ready to mount tomorrow. God, I hope this solves my issues!!!!!
