Re: What did you do to your truck today?

When I installed the new tail light wiring harness, I also installed a 4 way trailer light socket. Used the adapter from 4 way to 7 way that my brother made. Had to get some longer chains, but now we are ready to roll. I think the retro looking T@B trailer looks great back there. Hadn't planned on having the CDN flag in the picture, just kinda happened that way.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Drove it. Almost wrecked it cause the brakes went out again.
Now I have to figure out what the heck is going on with them. Might be a bad booster....will try to figure that out tomorrow.

My son and I assembled the new engine hoist. Tomorrow we remove the rest of the support strips from the bed and start sand blasting them.

Ordered the front front springs from CPP and got some spindles and brakes from a '75 heavy half. Hopefully next weekend I'll have disc brakes!

Here we go, more pictures in my build thread. None of the pictures are very good, wrong time to be taking any but I didn't want to wait!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Didn't really do a lot, but I took it to a car cruise in Weston over the weekend. For most of the trip there was no traffic coming or going on this little highway. Nothing but a railroad track to the left, and crop fields and trees to the right. It was like I had been transported to the mid-1960s. It probably sounds dumb, but it was the most enjoyable drive I've taken in a long time.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Thanks for the springs links Mark. I don't have a anchor point for the strap, so I'll use the method that one of the members said by pivoting the assembly forward and reset the rear bolt, seems safer for me that way.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Today we'll connect the new gas delivery system, mount the valve covers and fire it up. New windshield proved to be too much for the glass installers yesterday, the chrome strips kept messing them up. They'll try again today. We have a bunch of little stuff that needs to be done today and tomorrow if I'm going to drive it to Carlisle Saturday.

Wish me luck!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

New windshield is in I'm told. I haven't seen it yet, wasn't able to make it down to the shop Thursday. I'll be there this afternoon though.

After Stripping 40+ years of really bad ideas, Paint Choices and hack body work i am pleased to announce I am now 1/16 of the way done with my C10.
I just finished the DP90 Primer, I bought this truck for $700.00 non running in a field, Bought the brothers 3" 5" lowering springs and shocks from the same guy for $200 last week, stripped entire truck inside and out, fixed cancer doors and rockers, and more damn mirror holes than you can imagine. here she is as i left her at 9:00 P.M. Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Well thanks for the inspiration, nice truck. Just made a deal on a 66 2wd with a 305/4spd manual tonight and will store the truck for me a while till I have time.

Lots of work again and will take away from my 71 4x4, but at least I have another cool 2wd to lower.
