Re: Show us your projects

Hey guys, finally got the truck home and thought i'd post a few pics. I've been trying to buy it from a buddy for about 5 years. It's had some work done on it, but needs alot more. It should keep me busy for a while.

Re: Show us your projects

Thanks. It's already had the frame, brakes, and engine finished, so I got a head start. I still have to finish the wiring and some body and chrome work before it's ready for paint.

Re: Show us your projects

Man that is a sharp car! I had a 67 back in the day, sure miss it now.

I'll be at old town this Saturday, I go all the time with my wife to check out the cars and do some people watching. Interesting place and lots to do and see.

I hope to have my truck in the Saturday night cruise by the end of summer.

Re: Show us your projects

Thanks, Old Town must be the weekly cruise-in spot. What day do people bring their rides there? We'll be there next thursday, but we're leaving on a cruise Sunday Morning.

Yeah, Saturday night is the biggest night. Starting at about noon they begin rolling in, with the majority of the cruisers in by about 6 pm. They cruise the brick streets at 8:30 and you can stand on the sidewalk for pics and listen to the engine music as they roll by.

250 or so on average and 400 at the peak going on over 21 years now.

Re: Show us your projects

I think I am going to go the restore route. Not a complete original restore though because I don't have nearly enough money. I want to keep it simple. Probably lift it a couple inches. I know for sure that I am definetly keeping the good ole inline 235.
