Sorry Clem. Didn't see your post. I missed the notification email. Haven't been on the truck forum much as it drives me nuts to read other guys wrenching and my poor baby is surrounded by storage. But soon...

Re: 64 C10 Stepside "Jaybird"

Looks greate! Building a house can be both exciting and unnerving. When ours was being built we drove by it a few times a week just to walk around it. I was especially excited for the oversized garage. We were limited to a two-car, but could go 8' deeper. I went over in various stages to measure to ensure I was getting that extra space .

Man, your place is nice… I love the rock and brick combo and the arches on the windows is very cool. What a great house, momma has got to be happy. and your shop doesn't suck much either…

Congrats...

Re: 64 C10 Stepside "Jaybird"

Really pleased for you Bret.

This has changed a lot since the last and only time I was there

Love the trees, well, I love trees.

You must be itching.

And the boys even more.

You may have to build a secret door between their rooms too........

Re: 64 C10 Stepside "Jaybird"

John,

As soon as I get this baby finished.

received_1300171986666671 by bjohnson388, on Flickr

20160424_200252 by bjohnson388, on Flickr

So I can move all this stuff into it.

20160428_182621 by bjohnson388, on Flickr

This is all that is left out at the big garage.

20160501_105129 by bjohnson388, on Flickr

And then Jaybird will come home. My goal is the middle of this month. I start vacation this Saturday so I hope to get the inside of the shed done and move all my stuff in.

You wanna help me move Jaybird? Still not sure how hard it is going to be to push her up my driveway.

Bret

Re: 64 C10 Stepside "Jaybird"

Shed looks good! I'm getting ready to tear down my truck again and get another paint job and add the three speed overdrive to it. I have been talking a local guy and he's giving me a good price. Sonnet weekend the tear down begins. Let me know when you need some help on the truck.

Re: 64 C10 Stepside "Jaybird"

Thank you guys for all the support. It has been exactly 1 year since I worked on Jaybird.

Martin there will be more regular updates. I am already making a parts order. I have got everything setup to paint just need to get my sandblasting setup and ready. Don't know about Clem's I need to make one of them. Mjminino wants me to go this year.

Pimpston Thank you for the comments.

Rian I did work on her. I put some more peel n' seal down but I ran out. Will stop by Lowe's on the way home from work to finish that up tonight. Tomorrow day off going to have a friend help me bring the bench seat home and put it in temporarily.

Man I wish we lived closer to each other, both of our builds would be done by now just by seeing how we push each other through Facebook messages. Neither one of us would allow the other to be 'lazy'.

Well I know everybody likes photos of new truck parts. So here you go.

I mostly got stuff to help get me motivated to finish my doors and interior.

New clip on door seals I got from GMC Pauls. They are made by Precision.

And why not a picture of what is keeping me away from the truck at the moment.
