To much compressor talk and not enough truck talk. Back to our regularly scheduled program.

Re: 68 project

Does the saga ever end !! ?? It just seems like you order parts after parts always thinking you are almost done and then you think of the other things you want or maybe need for your build and the " oh I need to do this before I can do that syndrome" Well I ordered my rear cover, trac bar, rear sway bar and wilwood flex lines for the brakes and of course the trac bar is on backorder until the 28th

My June goal keeps getting closer and the end never seems to get in sight, ( or does it ever end ) Well I have Thursday and Friday off this week maybe I can get my rear brakes mounted And run some brake lines from the rear to the front.

I'm strugling with the have to have and the want to have ....front & rear brakes "to convert or not to convert" I have all the stock stuff need to turn rotors and drums have the pads and shoes new hardware etc. ...just so tempting to go big brakes .... i have a ton of other new parts to buy ahead of me ....Ill live thru your build for now learn from u and convert in the future ...your build has a lot of us inspired and keeps me motivated

Re: 68 project

You guys just give me way to much credit, some stuff I was going to do later but then I knew it would never happen so I figured I best do it now When I bolt the body back on I want as minimal of work underneath this thing as possible. Plus my big gut couldn't fit under the frame rails anyways

I just figure at this point what is a few more hundred dollars

Thanks Jesse, it is always a great birthday when you can get some truck parts in You can't go wrong with these, a great product and very easy to install. The nice thing with these I used on the back all you remove to change brake pads is the wheel and one big cotter pin
You can actually see the cotter pin in the close up shot I took, pull it and they slide out the top.

Re: 68 project

Decided to tear down the 327 today, I have a bit of clean up to do, a little cleaning and some new gaskets. Well maybe a little bit more than that.

I have been wanting to check your thread out for a while, and after looking at it I am asking myself why I waited so long! This truck is definitely cool, and will be even cooler when it is done!
