Re: Any other projects in your garage?
Thanks! That was at the air museum annual "Large Car" show this year they had over 100 big trucks and 60 vehicles in the car/light truck class in "South" Rantoul IL. in July. south Rantoul is the old Chanute Air Force Base that was closed in the late 70s.

Re: Any other projects in your garage?
Thanks! She (the daughter) is really into it and has been helping get it cleaned up. She pulled the engine/trans out herself(with a little guidance)
Plans are keep the outside the same, possible 318/4spd combo-nothing fancy. of coarse the usual-power disc brakes and power steering to make it easier to drive. We now have one of each: 1965 Chevy Suburban 1959 Ford F100 1953 Dodge B4B |

Re: Any other projects in your garage?
[QUOTE=69BBsuburban;5605748]If the Hilborn is for a rarer engine than a SBC I hope you reconsider. Besides...alot of those conversions don't run all that well.... Cool ride.
the engine is a 435 hp 67 vette motor. pretty rare and too valuable to vette owners to trash on the race track. plan to build another bbc for the coupe. as far as the hilborn 8 stack, theres a couple of places out there that can do a good job on an efi conversion. hilborn does it but its pricey. without the conversion those injection systems have only 2 speeds, idle and wide open. everything in between is tough driving on the street and i want to spend some time crusing around... thanks for the comments, but this projects time has come. |

Motorcycles had consumed me for many years and wanted to share a few. the black GSXR is a 96 600 with complete Hayabusa drivetrain.........

Re: Any other projects in your garage?
I just finished this 1949 Reading Steam Freight train before I started on the 64'. It is 1/38th scale. 38" long, 4" wide and 5.5" tall. It took 117 hours to build. Woods are Walnut and Maple.

Re: Any other projects in your garage?
I keep seeing M715s on craigslist and think they would be fantastic with a modern drivetrain swap.
I like yours!
