Great build. Just read all the way through, and you busted getting this thing together (both time wise and leg wise it looked like haha). Super cool build man!

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Finally got around to straightening and gusseting my upper control arm mounts. It took a shim or 2.....but it's driving straight and not eating tires now.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

that's a lot of shims bro!! Have you thought of using washers instead of shims? I think that way no chance of them moving or coming out.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Finally getting around to sealing the back. Made some panels today (eventually going to put speakers in them) amd sealed all of the gaps. Going to cover the entire rear with dynamat and carpet it tomorrow. My flame thrower setup came in today too. That'll be Friday's fun!

Re: 72 Suburban Build

That should make a big difference. Is that Dynamat or another brand?

It's not dynamat (that stuff is expensive and I'm a baller on a budget...haha). It's called Fatmat....I found it on Amazon. I want to say I spent $150ish for 75 sqft of 80mil stuff

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Got to carpeting today. Still need to finish trimming the diamond plate and paint it (I'm going to mount it pretty much where it's sitting in the picture to hold the carpet edge down and make the end look clean) but I'm pretty happy with how well it's turning out.
