We put in Dynamat Extreme, which is primarily for sound deadening. There's maybe a bit of insulation effect there also?

The padding and carpet (front so far) were installed by a local upholstery shop. It's not a molded kit, just bulk carpet that we liked and picked up at a local fabric supply house and took to our guy. We were supposed to take it in for the rear carpet and headliner today, but got rained out...try again Monday.

Had fun with these exhaust pass-through's today...took way too long for something simple.

Thanks PE, it's getting closer.

Our glass buddy was over late last night working on the burb. Flush mount side glass and the rear gate glass is in.

Thanks Phillip! We have of course heard it on the dyno (but exhaust was through the wall and outside)...I'm thinking it's going to be a bit loud!

We're working on the center console skins now...

We didn't really like the stock arm rests and had never put one on the passenger side, so we made some new ones for each side.

Well, let me show you!

Got the center console and a few other small parts painted this morning...same metallic grey as the interior. Our buddy Scott came through for us again!

We're putting it together for the last time now...feels good to bolt it in knowing you aren't pulling it again!

Re: Our "What are we going to do?" 66 Suburban Build

More fun stuff...we sourced these push button switches from Billet Automotive Buttons out of Australia.

Some are momentary, but most are on/off, depending on function. All of our systems will run through these except basic column controls...turn signal, horn, and hazard.

We're running a Dakota Digital dash and my son will custom wire the whole burb...should be fun!

Cool deal, thanks!

We hung the driver side door...new seal and sill plate. It takes a light slam to close, but it'll relax a bit...nice and solid with a couple Dynamat pads on the inside.

We bought a majority of the gaskets/seals a number of years ago from
carandtruckshop.com...the door seals came from them. They seem to fit well.

My son has finished building out the 24 circuit relay/fuse panel...all switches and accessories will run through this panel inside the center console.

My son got all the main circuits finished...MSD and Dakota digital on the driver's side of center console. We tested everything and buttoned up the sides.
