My old man bought this '71 C10 for me so I could learn to drive when I was 15 years old back in 1990 for $800. Of course now I'm 42 and have taught my own son how to drive in it. Still all OG except for the rear end. Stock 292, 4 on the floor with granny gear, 4:11 swapped for 3:73 rear end a few years back, 16.5" steelie wheels. This truck was built at the California plant and has been in San Diego its entire life. I drive her to work 2-3 days a week and she purrs like a kitten....even with her single barrel rochester that I'm dying to swap out...! In another year or two I'll be doing a full tear down and stock rebuild. Thanks for looking....

How has this thread floated around for 15 years, and I've never seen it or posted in it for the 12 years I've been a member?
 Well, here is "Slick", my 68 stepside. Pretty much as purchased in 2000.   2006 just before tear down for new paint.   2007 after new paint.    2015 a few years after the LS swap and a bit lower.   Current situation with a full front and rear TCI Engineering suspension with RideTech coilovers, 18x9.5 USMags, and the LS1 with AFR heads making over 520hp.
