Re: Project two tone.

T.J you have that thing all bolted together and ready to take some more pics for us. A young man of your age has limitless energy to get things done. I remember staying up til 3 or 4 in the morning putting my first stroker 383 together.

Re: Project two tone.

Man I just caught up on your build, and congrats !!

When I saw the first photo of your motor on the stand I remembered how jazzed I was when I got my OHC-6 230 detailed and back together; and when I got the engine for the stepside done !!

Those side plates are awesome, nice touch.

Cannot wait to see the finished product dude

Re: Project two tone.

T.J. here are some motivational pics for you. Not meaning to hijack your thread just thought you might like these. It is the first 383 stroker I built for my 79' Caprice. It later threw the #1 rod. Too much hot rodding. I built this in 99'

My dad was not happy when he found out how much money I spent!

Re: Project two tone.

Nice progress TJ! I am finally getting back on my '64 short step 292 project. Feeling a little more energized after working on her a bit today. Hitting up a swap meet tomorrow. Started peeling off my rockers today and will have additional work to do on the sub panels as well. Glad I can weld :-)

Re: Project two tone.

What kind of rocker arms are you using? Are they stock? Only reason I ask is that on our race motor, 230 and 250 both have roller rockers on them with just a little bit of clearance on both the first and last rocker arm. I was just wondering. Thanks.
