Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Possible, toe in or negative camber can make a car feel very nervous, along with the wrong ET value of the rims, choise of tires and road surface..

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
sounds like the front brake may be getting too much pressure and not enough in the back to keep it level under hard braking. also make sure all of your trailing arm parts are tight and not moving in the rear

Rear breaks could be it too... I have the valve adjuster on the back breaks that I need to play with. I havent touched it since I installed it so that could be a big issue too... Thanks for reminding me about that.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Mine did something similar when I first started driving it....wound up backing the adj. prop. valve almost all the way off the rears...much better now.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
I got the dakota digital dash installed over the weekend. I LOVE THIS THING!!
It actaully give you your best 0-60 time/speed and your best 1/4 mile time. This thing was well worth the money and it looks awesome. The pictures do not do it justice.

The gauges look sweet! I wish they offered more colors option or something a little closer to a stock look. How hard is it to add and additional gauge, say like "Boost" or a wideband?

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
It is very simple... Being the rookie I am it was very easy to install.
UPDATE: I drove my truck all day on sunday. Went to a car show and it was running fine. drove it to work them came home and parked it. Went to crank it up on Wednesday and it would not fire at all... just lock up every time I turned the key. I had it towed to My friend Joe's shop where I was able to put it on a lift, You could wiggle the torque converter and flywheel so we dropped the transmission. My buddy that helped me build the motor said he hit the flywheel bolts with an impact instead of using a torque bar and thread locker so the bolts had come loose.. we unscrewed them by hand. While dropping the tranny we had to disconnect the exhaust from the headers and gas poured out of them, gas poured out of the cylinders after turning the fly wheel and gas poured out of the oil pan while changing the oil. Something is seriously wrong with the pressure regulator between the fuel pump and my carb. I dont really know. But Sunday wasnt a fun day. Luckily I had Joe and my brother-inlaw there to help me.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Have you looked at the timing it sounds like the valve is staying open and filling cylinder with fuel. Maybe thats why its not turning over to much fluid pressure in the cylinders. Then the fuel is just leaking by the rings back to the oil pan . As for the fuel in the headers maybe the exhaust valve timing be off is allowing the fuel to drain straight to the exhaust. Just my thought hope you get it fixed.
