Re: Project...praise the lowered
well i have some good cruzing hours on the build and the reaction i get every time i go out is pay off.if im in a rush to go somewhere and need gas i have to plan to bail out/send the wife in to pay and get rolling down the road asap or i could be stuck talking to people pulling in to check it out haha.anyways...i have a better more clear pic we took in a sunny evening last week.

Re: Project...praise the lowered
thanks like always guys.this weekend i put her to the test.i went on a bit of a road trip.first to the cottage over a rough gravel road which was a great shake down test and nothing came lose or fell off.then me and the wife did some cruzing around my home town,to the beach and many miles of country roads.the old truck performed great.and my fuel mileage wasnt too bad at all.heres a few cool snap shots i got the last couple days.including one from the wifes maternity photo shoot

Re: Project...praise the lowered
Hey (joey) i scanned through your thread from start to finish, awesome job and congrats on such a sweet truck!
I had one big question (sorry if you answered it already and i just missed it) i wanted to do the hood on my 68 the same way but i was just wondering does it make it hard to get to anything? Like if you needed to work on the motor or somethin? Or if you had to take out the radiatior or somethin? I guess if it was that big of a deal you could just pull the front end off? Lol thanks! Re: Project...praise the lowered
thanks guys.its been a while since i have checked in here.as for the hood im not sure how many man hours it took but it felt like forever.the cutting/welding part was easy but getting everything blocked straight took a while.just because it was a little flimsy in some parts.working on the motor is super easy.i still have tons of room.not sure about a stock rad but because i swapped mine with the newer sierra one and made my own brackets in the old rad support,i have no problem getting at it.

Re: Project...praise the lowered
so im still driving the truck a couple times a week and its holding up great.before my summer got really busy i started my nitrous install.all i have left is the relay and switches and its ready to go.i should have it done real soon.also in the near future im going to order a diablosport intune programer. then i should be good to go with more motor mods.
and last but not least im a proud daddy.my boy was born aug 3.he and momma are doing very well.keeps me busy and away from the truck but i love every min of it.
