Thanks lower50's...it was a wedding anniversary present from a few years ago. Wife got a bracelet. The plasma is way more useful!

Thank you 98...really enjoying your Burb build. Will likely be copying what you are doing when we get a 67 - 72 Burb. Have the wants!

Thanks Sim6, we've been making improvements to the place since we bought it 18 years ago. Yeah, I have automotive attention deficit disorder. The 35 Chevy Master coupe is to the "build it up before blowing apart for paint stage"...and I started in on the Burb. If you are interested, here is a short build thread on the metal work we've done to the 35.

Thanks for the observations, encouragement and suggestions guys. That and knowing I am showing what I am doing to everyone here is helping me to do better work.

I like it so well on this forum I bought a hat!

Thanks 65sub. Gotta give credit to 99 to life and ratty46 for the idea that came up as we were discussing what to do with the cut out areas above the wheel tubs.

Thanks Sim6, unfortunatley I don't. That was a fun build where a bunch of my buddies came in over a long week end and we put the truck on bags, four link rear, build engine and trans mounts, metal finished the fenders and trial assembled it in a week end. We started with a pile of parts shown and had something that looked like a truck a few days later. It was fun!

Then wife and I finished up some things, had a friend do some paint and plumbing work then we finish assembled.

The truck cab was the most solid I've ever seen. It needed zero rust repair.

Thanks all for the comments on the truck! Sad part is we sold it to buy a new DD for the wife here a few years ago. We don't borrow and needed more cash...so....of course wish we would have kept it.

Good news is it went to a higher end hot rod shop who needed it for a customer build. He wanted a truck like his Dad had back in the day. Fairly high dollar build and many of my parts were still installed, so that was a nice feeling.
