Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
1965 283 complete minus frame mounts. "ran when parked" Not seized, has not torn into as I have no interest in it. Have the exhaust manifolds that go with it. Bring a tire to set it on and I'll hoist it up. Includes a complete sm 420 trans. Also have a 89 s10 T5 trans with a .86 overdrive with electric speedo. I think its a world class but would need to double check.
Good T5 info here https://lugnutz65chevystepside.weebl...-page.htmlMust pick up in southern Utah |

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Factory heating/air conditioning system from a 1964 K20. Pretty much complete.
I removed it from the truck this past spring. An R-12 fitting failed some years back and the system leaked down. Heat still worked and I didn't really need AC in Pennsylvania. But I ended up replacing the entire system with a new Old Air Products system in April just because. The system as you see it in the pics is complete except for (1) the original R-12 flexible lines which I threw out some years ago. (2) the dash defrost fittings which I am using. I hate to junk it as most of the parts are good and some are very hard to find. But crating it up and shipping it is something I'm really not interested in doing, so shipping is a no. I will load the skid in your pickup or van. I am near Altoona Pennsylvania. I don't know how to size the image properly on this forum. PM me and I can send additional pics.

Poly cab mounts. All hardware (bolts, etc.) are new because I just used my old ones. I replaced my polyurethane cab mounts with plain rubber because I had a squeak that was driving me crazy. Alas the squeak is still there.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Could be coming from sway bar bushings if there's one on the truck, just saying in case you're still hunting down that elusive squeak.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I put new control arm bushings in the a arms when I had the front end apart. You're not supposed to torque them until there's full weight on the wheels. The only thing I can think is I torqued them with the wheels on the ground but no drive train in and maybe the rubber broke away from the metal? I'll pull it apart in the spring.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I have a set of upper and lower control arms with new (about 800 miles) Moog bushings and ball joints. Off my 1964 C10. The arms are pitted from twenty years of gravel road and sixty years of being in the wind, just hate to toss them with the new-ish parts. Located in Cincinnati, OH.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Hi everyone! I have a few things I need to see if anyone wants. Let's start with four items. I have two complete torsion bar front ends one is from a '62 Chevy c30 dually, the only thing I've done to this is remove it from the truck. the second one is from a '62 GMC 1500 series, it was ordered from factory (Oakland) with one ton brakes it has new ball joints and tie rod ends plus we turned the drums and replaced wheel bearings, brake pads and wheel cylinders. I feel really bad about just dropping these of at the scrap yard. I'm located in the bay area in California. I'd like for someone to just take them all complete but if it seems that no one is into that then I would be willing to part them out if anyone needs specific parts. Third item is a 305 v6 that came out of the GMC, it ran fine when we pulled it out (probably ten years ago) It has the bell housing for the sm420. Fourth item is the rear end out of the Chevy, I'm not even sure what it is but it needs to be rebuilt that is for sure. sorry for the crappy pictures! I can get better ones and I will get some of the engine as well. It is buried in the back of the garage, I haven't seen it in many years. v

This thread is for our generous members willing to give away parts for free. NOT for members to ask for free parts. Last edited by 63 & 64 Bowties; 10-08-2016 at 02:16 PM. Reason: wtb by non-subscribing member |

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I want to give all the parts away if no one wants them complete, I'm okay with people asking for specific parts but I'm going to try and give them away complete before parting out. The only thing I'm asking for is whatever it cost for shipping.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
While I don't need all of the other parts, I would be more than happy to pay the freight on that bell housing if you would be willing to ship it to Fresno. I could even meet you part way and cover your costs on the gas, meet you in Gilroy, etc.
Just need to confirm that the bellhousing has the fork opening and the mount on the passenger side? Tom
