Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons

I like the state of restore it is in. How I remember many older cars being done. A more personalized approach back then. Mine had just had the root beer brown metallic thrown on when I bought it and only got the window stainless trim, no side trim. It also had a green metalflake steering wheel and Monte Carlo seat/floor shifter. I wanted to paint it back to Neptune Green, original steering wheel, seat, shifter, etc. It had a 350/TH350 from the Monte Carlo

You're getting me in trouble here Tim. My wife saw this photo and the first words out of her mouth were "Is it for sale?'.

She's as bad as me when it comes to cars. That's why we have 18 cars. No brakes on me. She only gets mad when I drag my butt and lose out on one.

Whoever thought an Aztek could look good? I wouldn't mind getting groceries in this one myself and she wants a Trans Am.

This is like going to the high school reunion and you are wondering who the sexy lady is who keeps smiling at you and someone tells you it's that nerdy front row girl Audrey Limpenheimer. Time to take another look!

That actually happened to me. I went to a bar and there was a smoking hot cocktail waitress. She recognized me. I didn't know who she was...But I sure wanted to.

She told me her name. She said that we went to school together. I took a hard look at her. I did know her. But she didn't look like that in school. Not even close. Talk about the ugly duckling becoming a beauty.

I tried to pick up on her but she gave me the brush off. I guess I should have paid more attention to her in school. Oh well.

Explain what you see. The only thing I see wrong with it is it's on fire.

This weekend at Carlisle a friend brought his '72 Chevelle wagon he made into an SS. No pictures, but it was pretty cool.

It just looks like it was cobbled together. Corners cut. Just my dumb opinion.

They definitely cobbled something. Maybe a glass fuel filter or neoprene fuel line.

A good deal on a low mile car you don't see anymore that was not such a bad car to drive. Handy for sure. It's an older car with a lot of life that stands out in it's own way. I'm sure it's nice to ride in. Oh, and like when I bought the '65 Biscayne Wagon for my son (way back then) it's a classic that doesn't have a high value so you can just drive and enjoy without feeling you are ruining a collector car

I like it. I would have jumped on it too.

My niece had a Century like that but it was a sedan. She was a little rough on that car and it kept running. I wouldn't think that it would go over 100 mph but she managed to get a ticket for going 102 or something like that on Interstate 15. She's 40 now and has calmed down a lot. But she was pretty wild in her younger days.

Nice '65. I believe '64 was the first year Vista Cruiser. Cool to see it out and about. I once had a '65 F-85 330/4spd. Here is a non-Vista Cruiser

Cool wagon Ramblin' along.

I went in to the hardware store and noticed backing into a space in front of Advance Auto Parts was a white with red 2-tone Greenbriar with Western Bullets on it. As I was leaving, it left, too. It rode behind me all the way home and on past when I pulled in. Never seen it before. Pretty neat!

This one caught my attention. It's exactly the same car that I have sans the rims and sidepipes. It gives me ideas. And I could change it back. No spotlights para mi. Ill put those in the Packard.

Here's mine...
