Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
Just primered my Dad's '54 today, figured you guys might dig it. MII up front with dropped spindles and cut coils, 4-linked and bagged 80's Caprice rear-end out back. 305 roller motor with a 2004R backing it up.
He calls it Low 'n' Loaded Restored 1960 Oldsmobile 98 wheel: This truck is being built on a tight budget, but everything my Dad does, he does the best he can with what he's got! Last edited by bob_o; 06-29-2014 at 06:59 PM. |

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
I just edited my op with a pic of the dash and steering wheel (the rest of the interior isn't really photo worthy as of now, lol). I just realized I don't have any pics of the bed or engine, sorry man.

Very clean. I like the looks of the rear lights.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
bob_o your dad's truck looks great! Quick question... What is keeping the front from laying out as low as the rear? Is it bagged? Just curious,I'm thinking about using a mustang II in my future project.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
Pops has pretty cool ideas from time to time, haha. When he told me hewanted to run '50 Ford tail lights I told him to keep any "foreign" parts off his truck! Ha!
Definitely. Dad spent a small fortune having it restored too Quote:

You're very welcome And Pops wanted me to make it known that the truck is For Sale! I'll be posting an ad in the Classifieds soon |

bob o - what ever your dad loaded into it ... it's the nads. Looks fantastic. The blue/white combo's spot on for the nose high ride. Dig it!!!

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
Right, I'm glad it puts a smile on your face
Back in California in the 40's, having a Custom that was a little nose high was not unusual due to the amount of lead the guys were using to fill and smooth the rear of their cars. Fast forward to the mid to late 60's (when my Dad grew up) and having the rear of your ride a bit lower in back was just cool. Gives it a bit of attitude! Like they're ready for take-off. My slammed '62 Buick LeSabre sits the same way |

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
Details on those rims, I would like to run a set of those on my 50 using the 96 s10 standard cab long bed chassis.
