Very nice! and yes this heat has been killer on me too! I'm liking the sound of window units in my shop. I have three windows so, I should be able to get it pretty cool in there. Have to watch out for the post season clearance sales.

Hoping for some progress today. I have my brother and a buddy of ours coming over to get at it today. Going to attempt to get the truck wired, install some Wilwood D52 calipers on my brothers Nova and maybe hear the truck run for the first time in 8 months! Updates later.

Well, spent alot of good time hangin' out with my brother and a friend of ours. Got the fuel system wired, engine harness routed into the cab and got the ECM mounted behind the glovebox and on top of the HVAC box. Just have to hook up 4 wires at the cluster and repin the factory cluster harness to match the 91 cluster and I should be a go! Note to self...Need to remember to finally order my trans cooler and get it hooked up. Then just the exhaust is left!!! Almost...

By the way the 315/35ZR17s (on the rear) D52 calipers and drilled and slotted rotors (on the front) we put on my brothers Nova look SICK! I WILL be putting these on the truck now for sure.

Hey, I sure would like to see some pics of how you mounted you pcm. If it's like when I mounted my son's TBI ecm HERE it was pretty tight in there.

Thats where I mounted it for sure. The LS computer is huge though. I wish it would have fit in that bracket. I will try to pst pics in a bit.

Josh looks awesome, I still love the stance and wheels you and Dennis have. Can't decide what to do with my truck. I need tires just don't know how a LWB will look lowered with 20's. I'm torn between the stock look and the lowered aggressive look. Oh, what to do.........

Thanks for the nice words fellas. mcbassin, heres the ecu mounted behind the dash. I had to cut the fins off of one side and it was a tight fit but it is way up out of the way for sure! I know it's not truck related but heres a pic of the 315s under the Nova! We relocated the rear springs with stuff from Detroit Speed and Engineering and put their widened tubs in the rear to fit them. Turned out great but for some reason the pics of the tubs and the Wilwood D52s on the front didnt turn out? O well.

I had thought a behind the dash installation was possible and would certainly help clean up under the hood. BUT....having to remove the heat sink fins and mounted as it is...I sure hope your PCM doesn't get too hot in there... and start fritzing out on you.

I like the install of the PCM I was wondering how you would be able to fit it in there. With the dash off it makes it a lot easier to access that area back in there. I didn't know these units would generate heat?

I only removed about half of the depth of the fins. And with only two on each side I didnt think it would be a big deal. Also, I figured it would be cooler in the cab with the A/C on blast than under the hood anyway!

If I start having issues I will just do away with the door on the pass. side kick panel and mount it there where it is more open but still not vivible from the drivers or passengers seat.

I was thinking more of when the heats on. Obviously they're good up into the 200+* range so its probably nothing to worry about.

There was a gromet for something on the firewall just above the passenger side valve cover. Maybe the th350c trans that used to be in it. I will get a pic tonight.

Well progress was little today but progress none the less. I got the harness from the firewall to the tanks and to the taillights installed with the little stainless clips with the rubber isolator in them so it looks nice against the chassis. Also got the rear bumper installed and got the brakes blead out with the help of my wonderful wife! Will be taking the truck to a local muffler shop called Henry's on the 19th to have them run dual 3 inch exhaust with an
X-Pipe, dual Flowmasters, over the axle and turned down just before the bumper with some nice stainless tips. You will only be able to see about 1/2 inch or so of the tips so it should finish it off nicely! I am using 3 inch so when I do switch to the S&P headers the collectors will be easy to adapt to the existing exhaust. I need to find a cheap set of rear inner bumper brackets for a sport bumper though. Mine only had the outers on it when I bought the truck and just havent taken the time to find any yet.

I didn't know that these truck bumpers had inner brackets? I just bought one today for my son's truck off a suburban. The burb had inner and outer, but when I put it on the truck, I can only use the outer brackets. If you get some I would like to see them. Wonder if I could fab some up?

Sounds like you are making some good progress!
