Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build

Do you have a guest room, Jim? I'd like to come be your upholstry apprentice for a while!! Out of everything that is definitely what I know the least about and obviously have mastered it!

Thanks Ben, for the compliments. No I haven't mastered it, I still need to learn a few things. When I'm at car shows I always look over the interior to see how people do their work, sometimes it hard to figure out how they did it. Oh yeah I have a guest room, it even has padded walls....Jim

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build

Haven't posted on here in a long time, maybe no one is subscribed anymore.
Today I got my February issue of Custom Classic Trucks and was surprized to see that Jimbo's truck was in the Readers Truck section at the back of the mag. It's not a full blown feature, but it made me happy. At least my son and I can say we had some of our work show up in a mag. I scanned the two pages and hope that show up half way decent on here....Jim

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build

IMHO, the truck is nice enough to be a feature article. great work.

Funny thing about car magazines. I submitted a 2 page technical article to one the car mags, and never heard anything from them. About 4 months later a friend on facebook congratulates me on the article. The magazine published my article and never told me...or paid me. They did give me credit though.

Very motivating. My 16 y/o and I are attempting a 68 longbed resto. Love seeing these builds. Makes me think we can get it done!
