Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
1965 283 complete minus frame mounts. "ran when parked" Not seized, has not torn into as I have no interest in it. Have the exhaust manifolds that go with it. Bring a tire to set it on and I'll hoist it up. Includes a complete sm 420 trans. Also have a 89 s10 T5 trans with a .86 overdrive with electric speedo. I think its a world class but would need to double check.
Good T5 info here https://lugnutz65chevystepside.weebl...-page.htmlMust pick up in southern Utah |

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Factory heating/air conditioning system from a 1964 K20. Pretty much complete.
I removed it from the truck this past spring. An R-12 fitting failed some years back and the system leaked down. Heat still worked and I didn't really need AC in Pennsylvania. But I ended up replacing the entire system with a new Old Air Products system in April just because. The system as you see it in the pics is complete except for (1) the original R-12 flexible lines which I threw out some years ago. (2) the dash defrost fittings which I am using. I hate to junk it as most of the parts are good and some are very hard to find. But crating it up and shipping it is something I'm really not interested in doing, so shipping is a no. I will load the skid in your pickup or van. I am near Altoona Pennsylvania. I don't know how to size the image properly on this forum. PM me and I can send additional pics.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Poly cab mounts. All hardware (bolts, etc.) are new because I just used my old ones. I replaced my polyurethane cab mounts with plain rubber because I had a squeak that was driving me crazy. Alas the squeak is still there.
Free for you plus postage from Canada. |

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Could be coming from sway bar bushings if there's one on the truck, just saying in case you're still hunting down that elusive squeak.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I put new control arm bushings in the a arms when I had the front end apart. You're not supposed to torque them until there's full weight on the wheels. The only thing I can think is I torqued them with the wheels on the ground but no drive train in and maybe the rubber broke away from the metal? I'll pull it apart in the spring.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Free to a good home. 2 Front disk, 5 Lug. Set of coils.
Coils are 2 to 3 inch drop. Sorry never actually measure them. I just wanted the truck back to standard. Coils you will notice one rear one is a bit lower then the other. Will need a bit of tweaking to make them equal. Front ones are all good. Rotors are great, was just replacing parts finding a brake lock issue. Turned out to be the master cylinder. Got new rotors in a package deal with calibers. So these are the ones that came off, absolutely nothing wrong with them. At this time, I can only do local pickup sorry. Thanks |

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I have a set of upper and lower control arms with new (about 800 miles) Moog bushings and ball joints. Off my 1964 C10. The arms are pitted from twenty years of gravel road and sixty years of being in the wind, just hate to toss them with the new-ish parts. Located in Cincinnati, OH.

If these mounts will fit my 66 C10 short step side I’d be thrilled to get them and install them right away.
PayPal ok to reimburse your shipping? Thanks so much! Greg in Missouri |

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Moving soon, time to let some things go for free:
* 1964-1966 (but fits all in this generation) hood. Condition is fair. Yes, it's really free to those here. * Starter still in working condition (I replaced it with a mini-starter). Came out of a 283. * Fleetside wheelhouse (the pair). * Manual transmission bellhousing from a 283. * 1960-1966 grille panel. Has wrinkles in the center. * BBC long tube headers. * IFS transmission crossmember. Hopefully, it's acceptable to include these links, but remember these are free to those here. If not, let me know, and I'll remove them: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts...815137720.html https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts...815138812.html https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts...815146178.html https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts...815135498.html https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts...818115149.html And, again, if it's not a violation of this site's policy, respond through the craigslist ad, because I'm much more likely to see an email than messages here. Just include something like "pay it forward" or something letting me know you saw it here.. I'm in Mountain View, CA. Local pickups, only.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I have two radiators and a fan shroud (barrel style) for a 60-62 C10. Aluminum radiator was being used and is in good condition - looks like Champion but no markings. Copper radiator is 23” wide Harrison that had been recored - think three rows. Has been tested good. Everything is located in Pittsburgh, PA. If you can use any of these, let me know. Thanks

Peep mirrors, pair used fair/good condition
Gifting a pair of peep mirrors, they attach anywhere you like with a couple allen bolts to the door frame. Switching to Jr. West Coast mirrors. Would rather not ship but, will on your dime. Local pickup in Tahoe City, CA. If you’re anywhere between Redding, northern CA and North Lake Tahoe i may be able to drop at your doorstep if you are off Hwy 80, 20, 5

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Theres a ton of free 60-66 odds and ends like suspension and brake, park lights, tailgate chains and dozens of related parts here in Joppa Alabama 35807 too much to even start photographing so if you live near enough to ride here, you can leave with some full plastic bins of stuff I want rid of you might can use if you build a lot of trucks.
in the NOT FREE category, there are lots of for sale nicer 60-66 things including whole partially disassembled or started on short fleet BBW projects w/ solid Western cabs and doors and fenders and things already sourced to build them with, loose bumpers of every sort, front fenders and tons of things I don't let go for free or cheap but I am cleaning out so gimme a buzz at 256 486 1988 if you want to know more or come help me clean this crap out of here |

And nice score on the floormat. Luckily I went to carpet in the stepside so I can use the mat in the fleetside. I tried to PM you on the 63 grill support, but your inbox is full. You can send the rectangle box with the mat too.....hahahaha
