Today I added the signs to my Conex collection. I use magnets to hold them up , works great!

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Spent a few hours in the shop "cleaning up". When I was done I found I had the same amount of free room as before I started but a bunch of things were now holding down space in a different spot..

Sounds exactly like my attempts to gain floor space. I just move "stuff" from one place another...
How are you doing ? Hoping the recovery is near complete now...

Well, it's not done with me yet. Been 5 months now. It's slowly clearing up. Thanks.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

My 8 year old son has gotten into model trains recently so we've been working on a small layout in our spare time. Gave me an excuse to get out my old trains and relive my childhood a bit too. Its pretty basic right now and its a bit overwhelming learning what has changed in the last 30-some years with controls. Its just a DC setup, not sure we'll jump to DCC unless he really wants to get serious but for now it's all for fun and helping him learn some electronics and train stuff too.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Went to lend a hand at my daughter and son-in-laws new to them house over the weekend. 25-30 foot tall dead tree hanging over the driveway was my main target. Me and the SIL had it down, cut up, and loaded on my trailer in about 1.5 hours. No houses or cars were hit so it was a good morning. Little bit of creative roping got the big limbs directed and off so the main trunk was a breeze. It was hollow so they dodged a big bullet at some point in the future.

Worked on a KDX 200 project a bit on Sunday. Getting closer to a first ride.

Great that the Trees did not cause any property damage.

I have a Few I need to cut soon.

So they don't cost me money.

I have a number of dead Ash thanks to the stupid emerald borer beetle that need to come down. Cut any that would have gotten on the house last year before it was built so now it's just those that would get across the drive and a few other areas.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

We had a guy come out and grind down a stump today. The machine was totally remote control. Last stump we had removed after taking down a tree the machine was moved and handled manually. Lots of work for those guys.

They have come along way.

A few years ago, A company moved a Lathe at work to another location in the shop.

It is a long Lathe.

This Tow motor was Remote controlled.

I wished I would have asked to make a Video.

Tahoe got a lof, tire rotation, air filter today. My dedicated "tire rotation shovel" saves my lower back every time!

Reminds me of when I was around 16 or 17 years old.

I was struggling with a uni-lug wheel.

He showed me this same process.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Had a decent weather day, so dragged the Camaro out of the corner I had it stuffed in to clean it and fire it up as its going to be heading to the Portland Roadster Show in a couple weeks to be part of a display. Also tinkered some more on the 409 getting more stuff bolted onto it. Grandpa hurt his shoulder so holding still on yanking the motor out of the Impala as he wants to be a part of that, hopefully next weekend is the weekend finally.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

"Talking" with Truck Haven C10 Parts on FB. Anyone deal with him ? I'm trying to get detailed info about a cab I'm interested in, but he's being rather elusive about details. Looking for aye or nay experiences. Also, where he is located for estimating travel time/distance if I go.
Thanks

Ooo, thanks for the head up on the Roadster Show, I haven't been to that one for years. I just texted a couple of buddies to see if they wanted to drive down.

Its gonna be a good one this year I think. Its the 70th annual one, I know the C10 Oregon group has put together a group of trucks. A lot of the Hall of Fame cars are coming out as well, over 60 High School kids cars entered into the High School Challenge. Show is taking up every hall the Expo has. Ill have the Camaro with the Camaro Club display and then our 56 is a Hall of Fame car and it will be in that area.

Since we can't buy a lawn mower in Calif, we went to Reno. While waiting for assembly, we had a great lunch. Will order the oil filter conversion tomorrow. It was a good day!

That Fine 409 would sure look good in our 62 SS convertible.

It's amazing.

I didn't touch my Bug for 6 years and now I just came down from my frozen garage in the middle of the night after putting more work into a brake job.

I would post this on the Volkswagen Beetle forum but I don't belong to one, this is the only forum of any kind I belong to...so...
