Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Thanks man, yes they are the stainless and yes they are shiny ! Lol, at some point I will have them jet hot coated , just can't stomach that at the moment, that is the most I have ever spent on exhaust !!! As for the cab/bed dolly that is mine I used to work at a factory and they threw those away of course I scooped them up they are solid wheels very heavy duty, the rest is all made of scrap metal I had laying around , it is pretty rough ! But it works !

I agree, if you're gonna do a square body, do a 73-75. OR...69-72, but then again, I'm biased.

With a 12 valve Cummins! Or even better (but way more difficult) a Powerstroke. Mine has 285,000 and still runs as clean as a new one according to the oil analysis and makes tremendous power with a little tuning.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

awesome surfboard , are you going to paint it baby bleu and white with a half inch wide black/gold/black pinstripe and black fins ?

nice , youre going to do a square body blazer
there is a guy on the tennesee forum that (used to drive/?) drives a realy clean one , all blacked out dark windows dark rear lights billet grille , chrome boyd rims , a static drop and a realy nicely detailed interiour and enginebay , he done a lot if small things to it that cost him more time than money and it sets it apart from the rest without being over the top
he made his own aircleaner and it looks verry nice

maibe you can do an LS engine in there maibe even a carbed LS or LQ4
theres a guy working on a suburban with a LQ4 in it somewhere on this forum , he has a ton of info about that swap in his tread

Better??? i would say more of a headache and more money to mod until your satisfied, not to mention less reliable unless you do your research and dump all the proper parts into the powerjoke. just sayin. the good old 12ver would be ideal IMO if you want #2 fuel. Good recipe : 94-98 12v with supporting mods like fass150, quality injectors(250s or so) bench flowed ppump maxed out(cheapest bang for buck or pay for the power 12-13mm ppump) timing and tuning, head studs, turbo/s of your choice for your application and a strong transmission behind it all will give you reliable power for many more miles than that international/navistar/ford diesel. just saying if you want a diesel keep it simple and keep it straight. cummins is proven.
