Well, that should keep you going until lunch anyways, I recommend taking the afternoon off tomorrow

I repainted my 1976 c-10 custom deluxe chevy pickup truck. I still need to put a couple more coats of paint and clear coat.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

In 90 plus heat and sunshine, with help from a friend and another friend's Snap-On Electric Impact, we were able to procure the front x-member and all steering components as well as the Rear-End which we'll adapt for the 1965 to 5 lugs and power disc rakes up front...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

painted one of my new wheels black, and one silver (leaning towards black), you have to imagine the P245 60 15 T/A's (blackwall out), the chrome beauty rings, and center caps.

They are, as I have learned, late 70's to early 80's 4WD wheels.

Changed my headlight switch, and put the new knob/rod in.

Then drove the kid to soccer, lost 6-4.... but she had fun!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Got my 66 wheel painted the other day. I sandblasted it. Wont do that again. Made it way to rough and it exposed some of the steel core. The next one i will sand only. However i did clear coat it and it feels very smooth. Just looks rough. I am worried how long it will hold up to dirty hands and UV. We will see!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Nice steering wheel....regarding restoring them, is a special paint used to hold up to the contant handling? Maybe wrap it in a nice grip cover to prevent rubbing off the paint? What steps are taken for durability?

Thanks for the input, I will go with black to start. Have a line on some beauty rings, going to have a look at them this week. Still hunting for centre caps.
