Talking Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Did this a while back but thought some of you may like it.
I added a 6 terminal fuse panel to the inside of the truck for new electric stuff. Simple install to. Hot wire from unfused terminal on orignal fuse block to the screw at the top of this one then just run wire to the part that needs it.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Yes it is a lot better than what I had before. Now I know what is what.
I'm thinking about buying a bigger one though for 12 fuses. Mounting it under the hood.

Ha! You guys made me go out to the garage and grab this little item that we used when we built low-tech bikes (Harleys and BMW Airheads) and wanted to put "stuff" on 'em.

I think I'll follow the lead and add this under my dash for whatever might come up in the future.

Thanks.

I gotta say, that's a cool picture. Looks like it could be an album cover or something.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Bled and adjusted the new brakes and took the 1968 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 step side long bed on her maiden voyage around the block. Still need a little more brake for normal driving, but after spending months and months working on her it is a much needed victory!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Had to take the old girl to save this cab. It was heading to the scrap yard. Has the section over the windshield I need and great floors. It has very unusual rust in the lower passenger firewall.

Going to cut the roof off at the post and re-weld it to my other cab. Guess I need to fill my Argon bottle

Sure get alot of thumbs up when driving the 72!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Over the past few days I've installed a power steering setup and replaced one motor mount and the trans mount, both of which came out in two pieces. Hopefully my vibrations won't be as bad. I also found out I had the wrong crank pulley and the belts would not line up so I had to order another one from a board member. Can't wait to get this thing back on the road with the power steering, should be a lot more fun to drive.
