I like the melded crossover ~ few seem to fully grasp how much better an engine runs with this .

? Is that a Saginaw three speed overdrive box ? . (sweet if so) .

I understand your love of that pale yellow paint job .

Lots of good works done here, keep it up ! .

Not so much as to what I did to my truck as for my truck.. Picked up the reupholstered bucket seats for my Highlander.. Upholsterer took a little creative license with them and stitched them in the black lines so they are quilted but the stitching blends into the black seams and i like it. Material from SMS and new foams from Truckseats. Now to get my a** in gear and get the console finished and get everything installed in the truck.

What would be cool if you could find a way to connect it to the tank in the rear...

I did the same with mine. I welded a plate onto the end of the filler tube so it could be pulled out.

@Clow ;

Looks like good work ! next time take picx of the tools and paper, paint etc. you used, many here have no idea where to begin and would like a nice job like you did .

@Smitty ~ that materiel looks like the Chevy police Car seat fabric used from '77 ~ '82, it came in a few colors, was comfy and wore like iron .

I don't want Buddy Buckets but I am loving the wide variety of colors, fabrics and patterns used .

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I got a little something done. I ground out the rivets holding the lower radiator brackets in. One was put in wrong, the other was damaged, and I wanted to bend the lip of the core support down behind it so that the one would lay flat when reinstalled.

Also, by using lock nuts and small pan-head machine screws, I could easily change over to my original 2-row radiator if I ever have a mind to.

I used my Dremel tool and a small grinding attachment, I like how it turned out. I also got the rivets out of the two old brackets. One bracket was badly bent but I was able to straighten it out. I'm learning how to use my bench vise and hammer.

Today I was putting oil in the aluminum replacement a/c compressor I bought, it wasn't brand new. I dropped it off of the table and bent the pulley, It turns crooked now. So I ordered a new one.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Yesterday our weather was in the 80's so it was time to finish the painting of my front valance. So after all the preparation, I was able to get it done. This is my submission to what I did to my truck today.

I like the look. Low key I guess you could say. I'd drive it everyday, everywhere.

Beautiful. I love the material on buckets.

I replaced the headliner back to original in the 72.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I sold my '70 a couple weeks ago. It has gone to a great new owner who will take good care of it. Since then, I installed the hitch and trailer wiring that was on it, on my '72. Also ordered a tonneau cover, which fits great and looks awesome. I added 18" glass packs ahead of the existing 24" and the sound now is throaty but not overbearing. I have a few small items on order with Wes, and today installed cruise control.
