Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I wrestled with this myself. Ended up doing the interior first, then all the exterior cut ins, then well assemble and paint like a new car.

Wow Mike! That firewall looks outstanding in primer! This is absolutely a magazine cover truck! I do hope that SloshTubz gets huge attention at SEMA, sure wish I could make the show.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Saw your post about not being able to afford a booth a SEMA. Think you could make a mobile setup with your truck? You could get a flat screen from Craigslist for little of nothing, make your own stand (wall mounts from monoprice are $25) and make a short video and put it on loop. You could do some funny stuff based on your "cover your treads man" slogan. Or you could make a "trailer" from a front clip with no hood and TUBZ right there on display. Maybe some of the vendors here would let you borrow the product to make it happen if you stamp their logo on? I don't know, just throwing ideas around. Would like to hear wild success stories about the TUBZ.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
the idea of the trailer is good , maibe he can cut down the middle and make one half the old style and the other half the squarebody
he could make the enginebay a spot for info and litterature with the video equipment underneath a double bottom and the tv/monitor where the window should be and able to fold over on top of the litterature , or use one of those plastic mockup engines to demonstrate the room around the tubs if you use a pin on hood everything should be protected during transport if he makes the towbar either removable or foldable on the windowside of the frontclip (tow the clip in reverse ) he could put the trailerlights in the grille openings for the indicatorlights when you put the trailer inside at the show you drop the trailer on the rear/frontbumper (maibe you need a leg on the towbar to keep it up on that side) fold up the towbar , take off the hood , lift up the flatscreen monitor and hook up the power for the monitor and video , if you make the video an mp4 file like on youtube you can prolly play it of a cheap laptop there plenty of windows based video players that you can use to loop the video onto a 24 inch computermonitor build some car speakers in the double bottom and use an old amp for audio if you do it that way you might be able to run the setup outside in a field on 12 volt as whell

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
that is a very valid point, i hope the POP of the orange against all of the baby blue will draw the attention to the engine compartment and then linger to check out all of the other mods in the engine compartment !

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Why don't you start a fundraising auction for an unlimited amount of tickets for a set of squares and another for the regular tubs... That would get you really far. Id actually buy tickets for both and I don't have a squared. I'd love to help you go to sema.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
you could put the truck in the stand with the hood up and set only the laptop next to it running the video , that doesnt take as mush space as the trailer setup i was talking about , or maibe set a monitor up in front of the grille and the laptop under the truck maibe the sponsors doesnt give you a hard time about that , maibe there willing to sell them trough there website and dealers even making it even eazier to advertize for the tubs in their stand

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Done yet? I would buy some auction tickets for some '67 SLOSH TUBZ BTW hows the daughters trip going? haven't seen any pics is she back yet? must be worried over her, I know I would be sick without my baby even if she is a diva.
Really though I think if you had a nice display of the SLOSH TUBZ at SEMA your business would sky rocket. Just getting to showcase your product would be huge as far as people who don't get on here to see what you have to offer. An excellent product that I WILL own someday
